2 months.

How many hours a week do you volunteer?
30 hours
Why did you first decide to become a volunteer?
I am interested in a future career in the caring services and so researched various charities as pathways to experience. I also had a few free months and wanted to give my time helpfully. Volunteering was the perfect opportunity to help and learn at the same time.
What made you want to volunteer for the Together Trust?
The Together Trust is an umbrella charity with a broad set of focuses. The number of specialisms that this organisation has and variety of experience available was very appealing. I am now lucky enough to come into daily contact with individuals with a wide variety of needs, all of whose lives are enriched by the Together Trust's work.
What’s the best thing about volunteering at the Together Trust?
For me, the best thing about volunteering at the Together Trust is interaction with service users and staff. The environments at Newbridge and SK30+ are unfailingly friendly, energetic and uplifting. It is humbling to encounter the happiness and good nature of the young people, as well as the attentiveness and care of the Together Trust staff.
