Give and Gain Day 2013

A team of Employee Volunteers from Lex Autolease pulled together and fought off the rain on 17th May to completely transform the garden at Meridian in Cheadle.

The team spent months fundraising for the project, including the managers having wet sponges thrown at them in stocks. Apparently one employee paid five pounds for a bucket of water! The team raised over £450 and spent this on materials and resources for the garden. 

The day started off dark and dreary but they worked incredibly hard and over the course of the day they repainted the entire perimeter fence, spruced up the shed and repainted it, weeded and replenished all the grassed area, build a sand/mud pit, decorated the garden with new wind chimes and sensory items, and gave the entire space a new lease of life.

The entire space has a new lease of life.

Huge thanks went out to the team and we’re still wondering whether they all got the woodstain out of their hair, and whether that manager ever forgave them for his bucketing!
