Bake a difference

At 'Bake a Difference Day'
It’s been another exciting few weeks for volunteering at the Together Trust. On Thursday 18th November I attended a conference at GMCVO about developing a Volunteering Vision for Greater Manchester. It was great to represent the Together Trust and contribute my ideas about how we can work together to ensure a positive future.
I’ve had two spectacular appearances on local radio on Bolton FM and Pure FM, promoting the Together Trust, our services and volunteering, and also held a stall at the Diwali Mela in Platt Fields Park on a very wet and cold Sunday.

The big achievement for me this month though was the Bake A Difference Event that we held for CSV Make A Difference Day at our Head Offices in Cheadle. It brought together prospective volunteers, current volunteers and staff in a bread-making frenzy, giving me an opportunity to talk about all things volunteering. Heaven! The event was a massive success with everyone reporting how much fun they’d had, how much they’d learnt about the charity and volunteering, and how inspired they’d been by the staff’s commitment to and belief in the work we do.
