Volunteers Week 2013

The Together Trust embraced Volunteers Week 2013 in June and came together to thank each and every one of our volunteers who give up their time to support us.

Each volunteer was presented with a certificate and photos taken so we could shout about their achievements and contributions on social networks and our website. We provided links to case studies, which are still available online for you to browse.

As volunteer coordinator, I was also out and about all over Greater Manchester representing the Together Trust throughout the week. I appeared on Salford City Radio promoting volunteering and supported volunteer recruitment events including one in Altrincham with VCAT, in Bolton town centre with the Bolton Volunteer Centre, and a volunteering fair in Stockport coordinated by home group. The events were a great chance to promote the Together Trust and our volunteering opportunities, and to strengthen our relationships with voluntary sector organisations.

The week culminated in a massively successful Cheadle Festival where the team of volunteers worked incredibly hard to support the fundraising team and make sure the event was better than ever.
