Speed-matching

In the spirit of Valentines in February, I put on a ‘speed-match volunteering event’ where staff from across different services within the Together Trust, and new prospective volunteers, had the opportunity to meet.

The speed-dating style event aimed to allow volunteers to meet staff from different services to make an informed decision about what they’d like to do within the charity, and give staff the opportunity to talk to potential volunteers about their skills and interests and consider ways that they could utilise these in their service. The event was successful in the eyes of both staff and volunteers who attended. The event was hard work but I loved every minute and look forward to running another next year or perhaps even sooner.
